Peru 2018

In the time we were in Lima, Peru, our mission group built and painted houses for two families. Split into two groups, we nailed, hammered, leased, and painted wooden planks to make walls. One group, Group A, worked on a larger house near the base of the mountain the families lived on. On the other hand, the second group, Group B, worked on building a smaller house higher up on the mountain for a different family. We were successfully able to build two functional houses for the families to live in with the aid of local builders in a time span of about two weeks. The local builders added plumbing and other advanced functionalities to the houses after we departed back to the United States. In addition to helping with the construction of these houses, we planned out activities and English lessons for the children that lived near where we stayed. In this VBS like camp that they would attend daily, the kids were also able to play sports such as soccer and volleyball with our Peru mission group!

Korean Translation: 2018년 페루 집짓기 봉사에는 페루 Lima의 빈민촌에 두 가정을 위한 집을 짓는 미션을 수행하였습니다. 첫 번째 집은 산 기슭에 대가족이 생활할 수 있는 규모가 큰 집을 건축하였습니다. 두 번째 집은 산 정상에 미혼모가 2명의 아이들을 데리고 살 수 있는 아담한 집을 건축하였습니다. 봉사팀은 2주에 걸쳐서 두 개의 집을 성공적으로 건축하였습니다. 집을 건축하는 것 이외에 봉사팀은 Lima의 빈민촌에 거주하고 있는 아이들을 위한 다양한 놀이 프로그램과 기본적인 영어를 가르치는 수업을 운영하였습니다.
