Medical Mission (의료 봉사)
Our mission team, along with a medical team of doctors, had gone to Cangari, Peru to aid those who needed treatment. We helped support 444 citizens, providing check-ups, medicine, dental gear, and more.
Korean Translation: 2019년 페루 의료 봉사팀은 치료를 필요로 하는 사람들을 돕기 위해 여러 분의 의사 선생님들과 함께 페루 Cangari로 갔습니다. 봉사팀은 444명의 Cangari 주민들을 치료하였습니다.
Our mission team helped the people living in Cangari, Peru with our medical group consisting of doctors, dentists, optometrists, and pharmacists. During our trip, we would help the medical staff by assisting them with medical treatments. Our team would help count pills, hold dental tools, and shadow the staff. Also, our youth team planned out lessons for the children to learn about and other fun activities such as jump-roping and making bead necklaces and bracelets. We also planned out beneficial lessons in basic English and gospel. Our medical staff and mission team was able to help over 444 citizens of Peru and offer medicine, toothbrushes, tubes of toothpaste, and other necessities the locals were in need of. The most significant present was being able to ship over 100 custom eyeglasses to individuals who have trouble seeing and a mobile dental workstation for local dentists to use.
Korean: 봉사팀은 내과 의사, 치과 의사, 검안사 및 약사로 구성되어져 있었습니다. 봉사팀에는 의료진 이외에도 여러 명의 자원 봉사자들이 포함되어져 있습니다. 자원 봉사자들은 의료진이 원활하게 진료를 진행할 수 있도록 다양한 업무를 수행하였습니다. 봉사팀은 의료 봉사 뿐만 아니라 현지의 어린 아이들과 함께 다양한 교육 프로그램을 진행하였습니다. 교육 프로그램은 기본 영어 교육과 성경 말씀에 대한 교육이 포함되어져 있었습니다. 봉사팀은 의료 봉사와 선교 활동 이외에도 생필품과 비상약품 등을 Cangari 주민들에게 나누어 주었습니다. 그 어느 선물보다도 이번 봉사 활동 중에 가장 중요한 선물은 시력이 좋지 않은 주민들에게 개별적으로 맞춤형 안경을 약 100개를 선물한 것이었습니다.
